Perhaps it is cultural for the average Brazilian person to believe that the world needs them. We hear various nonsense saying that Brazil is an important country, the world needs Brazil... But the reality is that when other countries refer to Brazil, they just use the name “South America”.
Yes, the country is an important piece of earth, for some pig Chinese producers that need food to feed them... But, for the rest of the world, we are a joke, or we are like a joke as Argentina, Peru and the others country on South America.
Anyway, my point is, at the same way Brazilian people judge that they are important to the world and all the other countries want to steal the "natural riches", the average Brazilian person also believes that he's the most important person in the world and everyone around him, needs his presence.
It's almost like just because he is not present at a place, all the things won't work.
In fact, there are some people that in some ways are like this... People who are extremely badass in what they do, so because of that, they are necessary to do what need to be done.
Even so, these people just are like this, because they knew that in a certain point, no one needed them.
Don't look at it as a bad thing, but as something liberating. Just like nobody needs you, you don't need anybody. Just like no one cares what you do, you don't care what others do unless it's something useful to you.
So, if one day you truly want to be necessary, be in mind that no one needs you, and you need to be useful... Maybe, one day, you will turn in a necessary person.
